Description:
Dress Sword,Scabbard, and Cover:
A- Sword: gold gilded metal handle; black spiraled grip wrapped with gilded rope; diamond shape blade with "U.S." inscribed; inside design reads, "U.S. Armory Springfield, Mass."; Eagle design on guard.
B- Scabbard: little ornamentation; 3 rings for belt.
C- Leather Cover: gold Army button with eagle attached. Cover does not fit the sword (several inches too short) so it is unlikely it originally belonged with the sword.
H 2 1/2" x L 39" x W 4 1/2" (with scabbard)
H 2 1/2" x L 37 1/2" x W 4 1/2" (without scabbard)
