Hairwork Wreath
Description:
While not a travel token, Victorian hair wreaths would have also adorned the walls of middle and upper-class homes showing off the women's fancy work. Hair wreaths and jewelry also make up a portion of the more curious objects in our collection. Wreaths could include hair from living friends and family or from deceased loved ones to serve as a remembrance of them. Hair jewelry was also a popular form of personal adornment and tribute to the deceased.
